Avitrader is an online publication specialized only at aviation news. They have in total 18,000 subscribers and that number is increasing every month. At Avitrader Publication Ltd. I am mainly involved in customizing a WordPress plugin for sending newsletter called “MailPress”. The plugin has very little or no documentation. On the first part of the project I was involved in designing a newsletter which displays perfectly on all versions of outlook, macmail and any web based mailing service. So basically an email newsletter which works for all web venders. They have three different versions of email newsletter that being sent — (1) Daily News Alert (2) Weekly Aviation News (3) Monthly MRP magazine. Designed all three different versions of newsletter which looks consistent. On the second phase of the project customizing the Mail Press plugin of the wordpress. I have changed the core module in order to have the functions like (1) one click unsubscribe options from the distribution list (2) Throughly altered the way it looks (3) Customized emails after any modification done to subscriber’s email newsletter preference. (4) Added a function like if the subscriber’s email address exists in the database, and the same subscriber want to sign up agin, email will be sent with the link to Manage Subscription option. This is an ongoing project.
